Regulations and consumer expectations have shaped the modern diesel engine. Enhancements have resulted in more power, fuel efficiency, reliability, and lower emissions, an indication that diesels will remain popular in the future. This technology is most widely used in commercial applications, such as trucking, shipping, construction, busing, and more. Each year, many light and medium duty car and truck manufacturers introduce diesel vehicles worldwide. A fundamental knowledge of diesel technology is critical for anyone involved in the diesel engine support industry.
The SAE Diesel Engine Technology on-demand course, featuring instructor Magdi Khair, begins with a brief but thorough history and introduction to diesel engines. It then covers the importance of the fuel injection system, air management systems, and other aspects of diesel engine combustion. It explains formation of each of the regulated emissions species with details of those emission control design changes, including some sample cases quantified through the use of actual examples. An overview of fueling diesels, developing technologies, and a comprehensive section on exhaust aftertreatment are also included.

This four-session course provides a detailed understanding of the source – path-receiver relationship for developing appropriate sound package treatments in vehicles, including automobiles, commercial vehicles, and other transportation devices. The web seminar provides a detailed overview of absorption, attenuation (barrier), and damping materials and how to evaluate their performances on material, component, and vehicle level applications. A significant part of this course is the case studies that demonstrate how properly designed sound package materials successfully address vehicle noise issues.

Engineers and managers involved with product development are continually challenged to reduce time to market, minimize warranty costs, and increase product quality. This results in less time for testing, which means the need for effective accelerated test procedures has never been greater.
Accelerating your testing program sounds great, but how do you begin? This course starts by taking a look at statistical models for reliability testing. It looks specifically at how sample size and testing timeframe affect what you’re able to do versus what you’d ideally do with more time and money. It also explains the benefits, limitations, processes, and applications of several proven accelerated test methods, including accelerated reliability, step stress, FSLT (Full System Life Test), FMVT® (Failure Mode Verification Testing), HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing), and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening). Throughout the course, you’ll participate in an activity that allows you to identify failure modes, develop hypotheses, and select accelerated test methods for a product of your choice.
It is recommended that you have access to a calculator during this course. Learners will also receive a copy of the instructor’s eBook, Accelerated Testing and Validation Management..

This course shows you how to design and execute marketing campaigns using SAS Customer Intelligence Studio 6.5. Specifically, you learn how to create a campaign, work with nodes to define the campaign audience, set up a Communication node, assign offers to groups, and schedule and execute a campaign. The course also addresses how to create different types of subgroups when you create the target population, set up A/B tests, and work with groups that have different subjects.

While the basics of position are covered in a standard Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) course, and sometimes a lone example of composite position is given, those discussions often overlook the variations allowed that enable more accurate control based on part function. This advanced web seminar will clarify the proper use of “double-decker” position controls in GD&T. There are two distinct types: composite position (one symbol) and two single-segment position controls (two symbols). These are commonly used to locate patterns of features (bolt circles, etc.), but they are rarely taught in any depth. In this course, participants will learn the difference in showing one vs. two position symbols and the importance of the datum references in understanding each meaning, per the ASME Y14.5-2009 standard.
Many samples will be shown of the proper tolerancing of patterns of holes and pins that use each method. Examples and exercises will be provided to allow participants to practice several calculations. Learning these advanced techniques will permit better communication of part and assembly requirements between designers and manufacturers.

On December 5, 2023, CompTIA will be retiring CompTIA CySA+ (CS0-002) exam and will replace it by exam CompTIA CySA+ (CS0-003). Any vouchers that have been purchased for CompTIA CySA+ (CS0-002) and have not yet expired may still be used for the CompTIA CySA+ (CS0-003) exam.
As attackers have learned to evade traditional signature-based solutions, such as firewalls and anti-virus software, an analytics-based approach within the IT security industry is increasingly important for organizations. CompTIA CySA+ applies behavioral analytics to networks to improve the overall state of security through identifying and combating malware and advanced persistent threats (APTs), resulting in an enhanced threat visibility across a broad attack surface. It will validate an IT professional’s ability to proactively defend and continuously improve the security of an organization. CySA+ will verify the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills required to:
CompTIA CySA+ meets the ISO 17024 standard and is approved by U.S. Department of Defense to fulfill Directive 8570.01-M requirements. It is compliant with government regulations under the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). Regulators and government rely on ANSI accreditation because it provides confidence and trust in the outputs of an accredited program. Over 2.3 million CompTIA ISO/ANSI-accredited exams have been delivered since January 1, 2011.

The new CompTIA Linux+ is for the IT pro who will use Linux to manage everything from cars and smartphones to servers and supercomputers, as a vast number of enterprises use Linux in cloud, cybersecurity, mobile and web administration applications.
In the new CompTIA Linux+, candidates are only required to pass one exam for certification. However, the new certification is no longer eligible for the LPI 2-for-1 offer.
CompTIA Linux+ covers common tasks in major distributions of Linux, including the Linux command line, basic maintenance, installing and configuring workstations, and networking.

CompTIA Server+ is a global certification that validates the hands-on skills of IT professionals who install, manage and troubleshoot servers in data centers as well as on-premise and hybrid environments.
CompTIA Server+ is the only certification that can ensure that IT professionals at the administrator level are able to do the job in any environment because it is the only certification not restricted to a single platform.
The exam covers essential hardware and software technologies of on-premise and hybrid server environments including high availability, cloud computing and scripting. The new exam includes performance-based questions that require the candidate to demonstrate multi-step knowledge to securely deploy, administer and troubleshoot servers.
