UML training in examples is a two-day practice of UML using the best modeling tool in the world, ie with a pencil and paper. During the training, the participants will first work out the chosen assignment themselves and then, based on a joint discussion led by an experienced lecturer, they will show how to solve the given example with regard to clarity, accuracy and correctness.

Course description

One example can always be worked out in many ways. The added value of the training will be in showing how to think in UML and why some procedures will give some result, but others will lead to a better understanding of diagrams.

Course structure

The UML training in the examples was advertised on the basis of feedback from the UML training for analysts and preparatory examinations from the UML OCUP 2 (especially the Foundation level).

It is necessary to emphasize that this is not an interpretation of UML (hence the just mentioned UML for analysts), but its proper practice. If you have completed this training, this is the right one for you. Likewise, if you believe that you can use UML, but its use already causes problems.

Examples will focus on the following diagrams:

Use cases
Class diagrams
Object diagrams
State diagrams
Activity diagrams
Component diagrams
Sequence diagrams

Most of the examples are then processed by several types of diagrams, because the basis of modeling is to look at reality each time with a different view and to interconnect these views.

The set of examples for this training is new, so it will not be the same examples that the participants solve in one of the other trainings.
