The CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ certification ended on July 31, 2025, and was replaced by an entirely new version of the entry-level certification – CompTIA Tech+, which better reflects current trends and labor market needs.

Applications and Software – operating systems, file systems, applications, web technologies, and emerging trends such as AI tools.
Software Development Concepts – programming basics, data types, algorithms, variables, functions, and object-oriented thinking.
Data and Database Fundamentals – relational and non-relational databases, tables, keys, backups, and cloud storage.
Security – principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, device protection, encryption, and security best practices.
