Simply put, a cloud is the provision of services or programs that you have remote access to over the Internet. When something is in the cloud, it means that it is stored on Internet servers instead of your computer’s hard drive.

Where is the cloud used?

The cloud is used very often in the IT world. If you use an online service to send e-mails, edit documents, watch movies or TV, listen to music, play games, or save pictures and other files, it’s likely that the cloud is worth it. It is used by small startups to global corporations, government agencies and non-profit organizations for a variety of reasons.
